The club's controller was charged with grand larceny in the second degree (Class C felony) and two counts of criminal tax fraud in the fourth degree (Class E felonies) over approximately $335,000 taken between 1 January 2010 and 28 February 2015. The reported method was drawing and negotiating club checks payable to herself and third parties and initiating electronic payments from the club's bank account to pay personal credit card debt, plus failing to file New York State returns for 2010 and 2012. Bail was set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond; the maximum exposure was 15 years.
